Electricity & Cable Restored Post-Gustav
Our electricity was restored about two hours ago. I'm not able to type much due to some issues with my left hand. I just wanted to get the message out to anyone who might have been wondering how things were going for us. Hopefully I'll be able to type more tomorrow.

Thanks for checking in, BA, glad to hear you and yours are doing okay. hope your hand feels better soon.
I've been thinking about you! Glad to know you and yours made it through!
Hi Bint. I found you via the guest blogging spot. Having been down that way during Katrina, I was hoping NO would escape the worst. Looks like you did and I am glad you have electricity! I will be in NO for a conference the 1st week of Oct. and we waiting to purchase the plane tickets. Good to know everyone is alright and that I can still visit in a couple of weeks!
Thanks for posting. Glad you're okay.
Glad you're okay!
Sorry for not dropping by sooner - I got caught up in livejournal. Too addictive. :(
Well, Bint....you beat me as far as electricity by about four days. Six if you discount that we got a generator on Sunday to run our juice.
I am very glad that you and New Orleans proper survived so well, it could have been much worse.
Up here in Opelousas, we got the eye of Gus pass directly over us, and we got winds near 70-80 mph in gusts. Other than poles and major trees down, and some scattered flooding, we made it out all right mostly.
I've documented my own personal tale of surviving Gustav here, in case you are interested.
Anthony
